What specimens did we see, what did the children like the most and who do we recommend visiting this place? Get to know our opinion and find out whether it is worth going there!

ZOO with Safari in Poland? We found them in Borysew
We have already seen many attractions. A plan of a huge and well-organized garden We already know the zoo in Wrocław almost by heart. Its organizers set high goals set the bar for people who want to open their own zoo. Residents of the located close to Łódź, Borysewa can, however, be proud of the place that was established so close to their homes and is famous throughout Poland for breeding white tigers and lions. What encouraged us to take this trip? These included:
Zoo-trains - thanks to them the ZOO was nicknamed Safari - you can ride them and admire the enclosures full of animals,
Exotarium – where the zoo animals spend the cold months,
Playhouse - where you can have fun outdoors or indoors.
Not all of these attractions are available all year round, but we found some on site everything we were looking for.

First impression: large parking lot and large animal enclosures
We booked tickets online to avoid waiting in lines and went there in March, on one of the first sunny days of 2024. When we arrived there, we were pleased not only by its beauty weather. We could park in a large parking lot (still empty in the morning). We paid PLN 15 for the entire day of parking. The fee could be paid at the entrance or at the door exit - you had to keep your parking ticket to leave the facility without any problems at the end. Ticket prices to ZOO Safari are comparable to the cost of tickets to other gardens zoological. Children up to 3 years old or disabled enter for free. Can be chosen tickets:
normal for PLN 55 or 65 (more expensive in warm months),
reduced prices for PLN 45 or 55,
family, available only in the summer season, from April to December. There are as many as 3 types of them – it's worth reading about them, because you can buy them really cheap.
The first impression after entering the zoo was very nice. The kids ran away to see the zoo queues standing near the entrance, sit on the benches or observe the closest ones situated animals – ostriches and Watussi cattle. The adults enjoyed the quiet, fresh air air and the first rays of sunlight after an exceptionally long winter. Then everyone we went on further sightseeing.

In our opinion, the most interesting animals in the Borysew Zoo
There were wooden signposts and colorful maps throughout the entire ZOO helpful in navigating this spacious garden. We followed them to find these animals that were supposed to be fed for a demonstration - but only about watching the feeding and We will write about participating in it below.
It would be difficult to list all the animal species we saw. So let's mention those at which we stayed for a long time - so long that the adults were starting to get impatient. :) These were, of course:
majestic white tigers (near their enclosure you could sit on one of several benches),
equally beautiful white lions,
cute meerkats,
goats and rabbits whose enclosures can be entered,
servals and pumas.
The full list of species that can be seen at ZOO Safari can be found on the website ZOO Safari Borysew. Maybe you will be more interested in other animals?

Demonstration feedings
They take place in many places in this zoo, at different times, so... you can easily catch a few of them. We were lucky to see a few demonstration ones feedings. We were served meat from pumas and servals. The attraction was accompanied by a story from the caregiver animals about their habits, as well as whether they can be bred in Poland. You knew that you don't need permission to keep a serval at home as a pet? We're right there we found out. :)
We also saw a seal feeding and its impressive tricks. However, this is what interested what we like most are birds that could be fed with our own hands!

The children were delighted - they could feed the birds themselves
It was enough to buy a small portion of food for them from the vending machine located at the entrance aviary. One package was enough to sprinkle grains on the hands of all members families. To show how much the children liked feeding, we will write except that we visited the aviary twice and spent a total of over an hour there!
In addition to birds, there were also rabbits and guinea pigs, but it was the winged animals that stole hearts our little ones. It is worth emphasizing the fact that there were animal food packaging reused - they had to be returned after feeding the birds. We appreciated it as an expression the zoo owners' concern for the well-being of the environment.

Do we recommend a visit to the Borysew Zoo?
After reading the previous paragraphs, you probably already guessed that yes! We've been to many zoos and several parrot houses, but we have never seen a place in where both of these attractions are combined in such a successful way. We would recommend a visit to ZOO Safari in Borysewo to every family with children!
