Hluboká nad Vltavou State Castle is a Czech icon of Neo-Gothic architecture, inspired by Windsor Gothic. Over the course of its existence, it evolved from a fortress to its contemporary form. Decorated in the Baroque and Romantic styles, it was later renovated and redesigned in the style of Windsor Castle. It has been successively owned by Czech, Spanish, and German nobility.

Hluboká Castle is distinguished by its size, character, collection of preserved original furniture, and extensive parkland with a 2.5-kilometer nature trail.

You can stroll through the park year-round, and in winter, you can enjoy a paved walk. In winter, you can also take an Advent tour combined with a view of the Nativity scene. During the rest of the year, a guide shows guests through the rooms of the Schwarzenberg family or discusses the architecture of the building and its silver collection.

You can join a guide on various tours of Hluboká Castle, including the morning salon, reading room, smoking room, two dining rooms, library, Princess Eleonora's private chambers, and the castle armory. Other tours take visitors to the kitchen, private or guest rooms, and the tower. The winter tour is available on certain days in November and December, and includes views of the hunter's dining room, Dr. Adolf's dining room and office, the living room, and the bedroom.

Hluboká Castle's opening hours vary depending on the season. The ticket office is closed during the day from 12:00 to 12:30. It's worth checking the current opening hours on the monument's website.
