Wschodnioniemiecki Ogród Różany Forst (Lausitz)
The garden is protected by a conservation authority and is widely considered one of the most beautiful parks in Germany.
The East German Rose Garden in Forst (Lausitz) covers an area of 17 hectares and is the result of a combination of landscape architecture and botanical expertise. It is distinguished by its natural diversity.
It houses tens of thousands of rose bushes in nearly a thousand varieties, including very rare botanical specimens. Newly created rose varieties are constantly added to the garden, allowing them to be viewed soon after they are released for sale.
The East German Rose Garden can be visited at any time of year, not just when the roses are in bloom. It also features flowers that appear at the beginning of spring, rhododendrons that bloom in April and May, sunflowers and perennials that grow in summer, and dahlias, known as early autumn flowers. Various deciduous and coniferous trees also grow there. The garden hosts various events, exhibitions, and festivals.
