Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej
The cylindrical, free-standing air-raid shelter, which houses the Wrocław Contemporary Museum, was built in 1942, according to the design of the well-known Wrocław architect Richard Konwiarz. It is the largest of several air-raid shelters built at that time for civilians. All of them received a very interesting architectural form, e.g. to mask their true function.
Since September 2, 2011, the shelter has been the seat of the Wrocław Contemporary Museum.
There are two permanent exhibitions in the Museum: "STANISŁAW DRÓŻDŻ (1939-2009) THE WORLD. CONCEPT-SHAPES. CONCRETE POETRY" and "JERZE LUDWIŃSKI'S ARCHIVE" and temporary exhibitions.
